Brief History of BPSU-LRC Main Campus

The BPSU library was formerly housed in the three-rooms of the Related Subject Building wherein its book and periodical collections were jointly circulated with an operation of barely 1000 book collections and reading area of 50 seating capacity.

At present, the BPSU library is situated in a two-story building behind Related Subject Building with a total floor area of more than 348.4 square meters. It has five (5) divisions, The Books Section, Electronic Resources Section and Multi-media Section at the ground floor. The Reading Section and The Periodical Section at the second floor. It carries more or less 10,000 volumes and receives close to 90 serial titles, which are particularly strong in Technician, Industrial Technology, Education Nursing and Engineering programs.

Our libraries have undergone its programmed expansion to accommodate the growing collection and population of the University. Upgrading of its facilities to make it more conducive and be the best place for study, research and information need is our mission and objectives.
